In 1971 Arne Baumann and Lindsay Hardy, with 60 years of building industry experience between them, established Mambare Pty Limited trading as Valley Homes. The company specialised in the construction of service stations for most of the major oil companies, as well as carrying out major projects for Grace Bros, Elcom (NSW) and a number of local Masonic groups.
In 1982, the company expanded its activities to include the Hunter Valley residential market and Valley Homes as we know it today.
