Our Origin Story
SJK Collective's journey began with its founder and Managing Director, Scott Kilkeary. Scott has always been involved in local businesses that aim to enhance the living conditions of Brisbane residents. His path began with managing a small business in Ashgrove, Brisbane. Later, he transitioned to the construction industry, rising to the position of foreman, overseeing projects in Brisbane's CBD and its suburbs. During this time, he gained valuable experience working with contractors from various trades, some highly professional and reliable, while others were less dependable. Witnessing the disparities and inconsistencies among contractors, Scott recognized the challenges faced by residents and businesses in South East Queensland when seeking electrical and other trade services. It was often a gamble to determine whether a contractor would be punctual, reliable, and professional.
